Becoming Human

CME premieres a new piece by Tom Swafford. Amirtha Kidambi and Gelsey Bell are also performing. This project is sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by the Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).

iConcert—an interactive performance. CME will be performing, as will Attacca Quartet, Flutronix, and Blind Ear Music . The concert allows the audience to not only choose what the musicians will play, but also how new compositions by Adam Reifsteck, Cristina Spinei, and Jakub Ciupinski will be constructed and performed. Audience members will use their mobile devices and text-to-vote on various musical parameters.

CME will be performing a set and joining forces with Symphony Z for John Cage's Music for Fifteen as part of Make Music New York.

CME appears on the Acousticulture series at Culturefix. The program will include works by Berio, Wolff, and Feldman, with premieres by Michael Vincent Waller, Gene Pritzker, and David Saperstein.

Tristan Perich hosts composer/performer/instrument builder Travis Weller on an informal new music series Stepgaard. The party starts at 8pm, music at 11pm. Hear Travis play his instrument he calls "The Owl," and hear CME in a performance of his "Maritime Suite," written for us in 2008.
